    Default Installer.app and BSD Subsystem
what i want to do is trick installer into thinking i have the BSD subsystem installed because it is preventing me from installing other things, for example mobilefinder.
installer just gives me a warning that i dont have the subsystem installed.

i do however have the binkit installed, which i did manually.
to my knowledge, the binkit and the subsytem are the same.

i have heard reports of people installing the BSD subsystem over their manually installed binkit, and it resulted in having to restore their phones.

i have come across "LocalPackages.plist" which is located in /private/var/root/Library/Installer.
i believe this is where installer keeps record of whats installed.

so my question is, can someone who has installed the BSD Subsytem on their phone thru installer please upload their LocalPackages.plist?
    ( /private/var/root/Library/Installer/LocalPackages.plist )

it would be a great help

mods: not exactly sure if this is the right section to post this in, but it does pertain to a 3rd party native app (installer.app)

whenever I try to add bsd subsystem this way, i save the addition but I never see the change in installer. I have refreshed and restarted but it still doesnt show up as installed.
