fsaint,
Thanks for the comments.
Regarding the sorting (when using version 0.32), adding new items puts them in the last position in the Need section. When moving them to the Have section they get positioned in the right order and then when moving them back to the Need section, they keep their right order.
Regarding rapid editing/entering of entries - I second DaveiPhone's request - an offline editing capability would be awsome! An export to/import from CSV file or XML file could allow us to use tools such as Excel to edit the lists and then import them back to the iPhone.

Thanks for the great app! I use this app almost everyday.
My feature wishlist would be:
Quantity - not sure how best it could be done, but it would be useful
Pre-Installed Lists - I think the app should install with a standard grocery list(s). If users don't want it they can just delete it, it would save many people typing in the lists.
Undo Last Action - Not a huge deal, but I have on occasion missed the item I was trying to check and removed some other item. Undo would allow to bring back the item I mistakenly checked. This is preferred to confirmations which would be annoying in a shopping list app.
Also, I am with others and like the Need/Have better than the check box. Although I know some people found it confusing.

Thanks , yea if you could add the options for buttons (like it was before) in a future update like an alternative version that would be cool
(maybe changing the green for black would be better?)
at the moment im using the new version since i need multiple lists
and so far is one of my favorite apps

This is a very nice app. On my palm I have a lot of list i use often in a similar app. The palm app has one feature that I use a lot. It is a menu to set all items as needed.
At first I had problems with the list dissapering when quitting the app.
This command fixed it:
chown mobile:mobile /Applications/ShopList.app/*
No need for chmod commands seen in previous posts.

wow - you think all that up on you own? I am cracking up at just how anal can you be to have on your shopping list a pre-listed item of "Random impulse buy"!

I'm little organized but ain't that anal...
I got this from "The Ultimatest Grocery List" from the site...
http://www.grocerylists.org/ultimatest/
It's not that bad of a list...I have the pdf printed and sitting on my refig. door...when I run out of stuff...I just check the box off and when I hit the store take the list w/ me....

Oh, I understand... its just seeing an entry for "Random impulse buy" on a list that you would plan purchases ahead of time seems ironic. Is it possible to plan ahead for an impulse purchase?

Hi,
I have just installed version 0.32 and I have the same issue as tsatryan.
When launching the app, it loads the splash page, then crashes right back to the home screen. I am running a dev team 1.1.3
What can I do?
Thanks!

I have always had such an app on my PDA and really missed it on the iPhone. So glad there is now a native version. However, I do miss some features and have some wishes:
1. In my opinion the present use of check is illogical. My logic says that thing with a "V" are in storage and need not be bought. But this can be easily solved by next point.
2. A big miss is the inability toe enter a number/quantity. It would be enough toe be able to enter only the numerals "1, 2 ..... 8, 9". This could nicely fit in the (now) empty box in the "Have" list.
3. It is rather cumbersome to enter a shopping list from scratch using the keyboard of the iPhone. Much easier would be to enter the list on a Mac/PC and then transfer it (FTP) to the iPhone.
So I am anxious to see the next version.
