I do, It's very useful - and it's almost there as far as dev goes.

However, I concur with the above - EDGE connections crash the app. And a Daemon version would be super sweet

These IM's don't count against my measly 200 SMS do they?

i dont understand why this landscape mode cant be implemented into the SMSD. i mean whats the big difference between mobile chat and SmsD? and how come this isnt on installer yet. i even added the repo that was provided by the website but im still stuck with version 2.0

Did you reboot your phone? Also, make sure you changed the permissions for the chat program to 755

i got this app on my iphone and when some one sends me a message i get < B > at the begging of the message and then < /B > at the end is that normall? If not how do i fix it

example: < B >hey whats up< /B >

mobile chat is good but not great. it has a lot of bugs to fix but it definitely proves that the idea is possible. my biggest concern is the actual reliability of the keyboard. its way hard to type because it is a hack. the buttons dont respond as good and it seems as if the buttons are closer, like the send button. i find myself mistakenly hitting send when i need to press delete. it takes me longer to type on it. what i do is just connect to the internet with mobile chat, log onto my username that i created that has my first and last name, imported my favorite numbers to AIM so i can text them from aim and they can text back. its good if ur havinga long convo. feels better in my hand. so i still use it kinda for sms but is somone can do this on SMSD you would truly RULE!

what that might be is the timestamp that used in aim, tracking the time of each message you send and that is recieved so i guess the chat app cant display them

This program is definitely over hyped on the plus seems like production is back in the works but they have ALOT of work to do before this becomes useable cause as of right now it is not usable at all MSN doesnt work it has all the same issues it once had

Can only sometimes see partial buddy list
Can only send messages can't receive
Takes to long to connect

The first 2 are some pretty bad problems since it makes a program useless if you can't do the 2 things above!
