Thread: Swap Photo Library app

  1. #81
What is "SCP?" I did the install through "Installer" on my iphone and it gives me the swap icon but does not seem to function as described. Is there a way to make the program work without downloading additional software on my 1.1.4? Thanks, JMT

I must be doing something wrong.

I saved & extracted the file above (I should extract, right?), then used iPhoneBrowser to drag & drop the folder into the phone's Applications folder. (same location as Swap Camera Roll)

I restarted my phone, but the SwapPhoto's icon doesn't appear.

    Any ideas?

Just to let you guys know, if you've upgraded to 2.2 the version for 1.1.3 in post #67 works fine. Just be sure to set permissions and you're good to go! =D

To my knowledge iPhoneBrowser doesn't allow you to reset permissions, if you don't have wifi tunnel your winSCP and change the permissions to 0755, or change permissions in Finder. =]

I wish there was a full photo gallery app for the iPhone that allows you do hide/unhide, organize, and rename photos.

If you set your permissions correctly and still find that SwapPhoto doesn't appear on your springboard try launching Cydia and installing an application. Your apps will get enumerated again and SwapPhoto should appear on the springboard.

    Default Works on 3.0
    Wow, this an old thread...
I was searching something like that, so I downloaded it, tried it, and guess what... It doesn't work! I took a look at the sh file and I figured out the problem: the paths are incorect... I corected them and now it works perfectly (I'm on OS 3.0).
I Let it here if someone needs it... just extract it, put the .app folder in your /private/var/stash/Applications.??? folder, set permission to 755 (recursively)

    Default Update
Didn't work for me on 3.1.1, I had to go in and take out the line breaks and put in a square, like the old apps. Here's an attachment if SIckbrain's update didn't work for you.
