am i stupid?
well...i installed it and poof works fine...
then i did the following:
i added poof to the dock in bossprefs...so that i can hide it...(i like it clean) same with installer and the stock prefs...
now, when i try to access them via bossprefs, well they don't work anymore... i did the same in 1.1.2 with customize...
my problem...all the apps that i hided don't work anymore...no installer, no poof etc...
so how do i make them visible again?
oh, and how do you make the contacts app visible?
(if you didn't figured it out, im on an unlocked/ jailbroken 1.1.3)

You guys must have forgotten how to read... I'll refresh your memory- the first word in the description of this app is 'Beta.'. So what have we learned today? If you test a Beta app, you will likely encounter a bug. Jeez. Also, if you are not the ones developing an App, let us try to not ***** and moan about its importance, but rather be thankful to the dev that is letting us test it for FREE.
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

BigBoss is rather quick in fixing bugs. I have the same problem as you guys do. We will
probably see an update soon.- On T-mobile with 2.0 with help from Pwnage 2.0

i didn't want wo moan... i still like his stuff and i am indeed very thankful he's putting that stuff together...
as a poster said before myself...how can we fix that?
i can't wait too long, 'cause lets face it: no installer, no system prefs is a bit a pain in the a**!
it would be great if i didn't have to "remake" (downgrade and upgrade again)... but if it is the way to go i suppose i have to redo everything...
so lets say we have to downgrade and do it all over again...
do i have to downgrade to 1.1.1, update to 1.1.2 and then update to 1.1.3 again?
(i have an iphone shipped with 1.1.1 firmware... it think at least)

I was enjoying the privacy of this "poof" app until I hid the phone icon and then I couldn't launch any apps at all. My 1.1.3 iphone allowed my to switch between the different springboard pages, I could even get my wiggly icons and move them around but wouldn't launch a single app. Also the iphone could not be switched off, except by using the two button 8 second reset. Not complaining, clearly a beta, but thought the feed back might be useful. I've had to go through the restore downgrade jailbreak upgrade upgrade upgrade route - on the 1.1.3 upgrade now...
If BigBoss reading these posts, to make this a great app (when the bugs are ironed out) if a password protect feature could be built in that would be perfect. Most important for me is to be able to hide SMS, email, Prefs, and ideally contacts, though not sure the last one can be done as they're integrated into phone app.
cheers guysLast edited by andyorkney; 01-29-2008 at 01:53 AM. Reason: added an after thought

Well the error here till now that we cant run the apps while they r hidden
we would expect hopefully an update soon for this

first of all this is a beta... expect bugs...
second of all... if you uninstall your apps you cant run (via installer) and reinstall them they will be back on your srping board..
(if u cant run installer launch it through SSH)
BIgBoss - I have a feeling it has something to do with permissions.. i have customize installed, so some of the apps i have hidden were in some of my made up folders... when i do in there and try to launch the app it just send me back to the springboard like it would if the permissions werent set correctly.

how do i start an app with ssh?
i'm on a mac using cyberduck...
oooh, something i forgot (i don't know if it is the right post but i'll ask anyway, since you could do that with customize before...) how do i make the contacts app visible? not the one in the phone but the stand-alone...i really hate to have to go to the phone first to search a contact...
iit makes me wonder, if i should go back to 1.1.2 there were so much thing you could customize and now...all of it is gone...Last edited by gorduxo; 01-29-2008 at 03:16 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

a better thing to do actually is ...
uninstall Poof.. reinstall it... then unhide all the apps
Saves reinstalling all of your apps
I'm not a mac man myself... in WinSCP you just rick click on the excutable file then click execute
so it would be... /Applications/Installer.app > Then right click on installer and click executeLast edited by Nuttynutter123; 01-29-2008 at 04:03 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Guys, if this is giving you problems, try the newest version of Customize, it supposedly works with 1.1.3...

Customize will run, but it isnt functional really.
