Could someone post the most recent version of the installer app or point me to a link so I can install it via the finder? The version on this website I can't get to run, maybe b/c it was posted just before the 1.1.3 release.

what do I do if I hid poof and installer and don't have ssh installed on my phone? I can access it via the finder and replace some apps and would love it if someone could upload, or send me to a link, where I can get poof and install it manually.

in finder... save the file.. info.plist which is in the application file...
(/Applications/Poof.app/info.plist)
to your hard drive then edit it using a text editor (notepard, wordpad etc)
Delete the following part of the .plist
< array >
<string>hidden</string>
< /array >
Then put the file back where it came from and respring.. it will then be back on your springboardLast edited by Nuttynutter123; 01-29-2008 at 04:26 PM.

UPDATE ---
i have sent BigBoss a potential fix for this app... i have mine all sorted out (i can hide icons from spring board but still launch them in catorgories) but i am afraid i dont have the capabilities to implement my fix into the app like BigBoss does... I have PM'd the soloution so fingers crossed he can build it into the poof app as soon as possible.

Poof 1.00 (Beta) has been released!!
It seems to work on my phone. Just make sure not to hide Poof while testing the update.
Installer, Settings and BossTool are running off BossPrefs after hiding their icons. :-)- On T-mobile with 2.0 with help from Pwnage 2.0

Yep, should be all fixed now. A couple of hints for everyone:
1) If you hide poof, uninstall it and reinstall it. You will get it back that way. Just remember to unhide it before you exit the app or #3 below will hide it again.
2) Customize won't be hiding apps anymore since it works differently on 1.1.3. (I talked to spiceychicken before writing poof) I wrote this because we need a solution.
3) Any app that is hidden then updated will probably be unhidden. Just load poof or categories (1.6 or newer) and exit, it will reset your springboard and rehide your updates automatically.
4) This app would also work in older phones but icons hidden with poof could not be unhidden with customize. Therefore, for the time being, I have blocked installation on older phone versions. If I move categories to use poof's method of hide/unhide exclusively, I will open it up for all FW revisions. (Poof's method is safer as you cannot hose your display order causing the phone to not boot).-BigBoss
Please do not send me messages here as I never check them. If you need to contact me, send me an email. My contact info is easy to find from inside Cydia.

I installed Poof on my 113. After hiding apps & the springboard restarting, the apps were still visible. When I loaded a category app with those hidden apps in, springboard did another reset and the apps were invisible. Then I decided to make the apps visible again, but although Poof said it was now visible, and springboard restarted, none of those apps became visible again. Restarted, respringed, nothing wanted to make the apps visible again. The only thing that worked was uninstalling & re-installing those apps.
Any ideas BigBoss?
Also, is there any way around this new 80 app limit on 113? I thought I could get away with it by using categories & poof, but my springboard still doesn't load if I go over that limit. Is there a fix for this?

poof doesn't hide apps downloaded from the AppStore as they are saved in a different directory. Would anyone know how to solve this?
