Tevee - TV-guide for iPhone
Hi!
I just want to announce my latest creation: a native TV-guide for iPhone.
Features:
- TV-listings for United Kingdom and Norway
- "All channels"-feature that gives you a quick overview of what's airing right now.
- Function to add programs to you calendar with an alarm (double tap on program description).
- Choose what channels you want to see.
- Custom sorting of channels.
Add this installer source to download Tevee:
www.monsoe.com/source

NB: There shouldn't be any problem to add more countries to the app, as long as someone can provide me with a free and XML-based feed for their desired country.Last edited by kman; 01-19-2008 at 09:57 AM.

While not as cool, I have a tv listings web app in my installer. In this particular case, a web app is not so bad though since you need internet access to download the XML anyway.

Please do not send me messages here as I never check them. If you need to contact me, send me an email. My contact info is easy to find from inside Cydia.

dallasnights:
I'll do that when/if I can find a legal TV-feed for the US that I can use for free.
BigBoss:
That's true, but apart from the fancy look, another advantage with an application is that you can store the whole TV-program for several days locally on the phone.

I reside in the USA, and I would love this app to be implemented accordingly!

Hi, great app.
Two things though; could you possibly add a setting to adjust the time setting for the listings (sort of defeats the purpose of having reminders when they are 1hr early) and also could you please use the blue interface instead of the black - sorry, I know this is very picky, but I hate that default black - just looks cheap.
Nice work though and much aprechiated,
Thanks,

I meant from here. Read any of these threads, and you'll see that most of the posters communicate as do 12 year year olds. Hence my question to you.

Hmm, isn't there just one timezone in the UK? Because my UK-feed should have the correct program times, Tevee doesn't alter what it get from the feed in any way. I will however add a new function where you can select timezones when i release the new version with US-feed.
About the color - I couldn't disagree any more
I think the black color looks rather good on any iPhone application, much better than the blue one.
EDIT:
I did some tests regarding the timezone thing and your're right, Tevee will allways show dates/time with GMT+1 (which is the Norwegian timezone). I'll correct this and release a new version tomorrow.Last edited by kman; 01-24-2008 at 05:09 PM.
