New App Release - Locations
This one is quite awesome folks. You search for a webcam on google, and then you input the url in the app. Then, boom you got the webcam on your iphone! It lists the webcams you entered in a similar fashion as the native youtube app lists search results. Then you can bring them up full screen and slide to the next webcam like the photo viewer in the iphone.
Check it out: http://code.google.com/p/locations/
And see screenshots here: http://www.iphoneskinning.com/2008/0...am-viewer.html

I can't find any good webcam links, everyone I find seems to be in flash. Any good places to look?

Your link is broken.. (404 error)
so either post on the homepage of your site in your news, or edit the link please.
I would like to see some screenies.
EDIT: I searched your site and found it.. but you should still consider fixing your link.Proud MMi Retired Moderator.

@Trent: Who do you mean? Me ? Then which of my links is broken? I have only one link in this thread which is in my signature, and that one works just fine.

Its really good! I downloaded this yesterday.
Has anybody got links to any webcams which'll work with it cause not all methods of making webcams will work since people do it differently.

great app. you should post some locations on where people can add more feeds so there can be more to look at.

Looks fun, but I don't see myself using it more than maybe, once a month when I am bored, lol

This is a nice place to find links:
http://www.webcamsearch.com/links/
This is what I do to get the webcam pic:
- find a working webcam link
- on the page that displays the webcam pic (not in java), right-click on that image and open it up in another window.
- if it opens fine, copy the path (web address) of that pic and enter that into locations. That will be the webcam pic that gets updated.
Example:
Mablethorpte Surf Webcam (England):
http://www.webcamsearch.com/links/cg...es.pl?id=15158
That is the page displaying the webcam image.
Now right-click the pic and open it up in another window, and make a note of the address:
http://www.extremehorizon.com/webcam/surfcam.jpg
Then put that link into Locations.
