Changing folder and file permissions without WinSCP

Can someone please help me. I have tried on several different computers/routers to get WinSCP to connect to my iPhone. I get connection refused everytime. All I need to do is change the permissions of the Folders/Files for the Nes.app so it will run. I already have the Nes.app folder and all the files loaded. Is their any other way to change file/folder permissions without using WinSCP?

chmod +x /Applications/NES.app/*

What is SSH..i did a search for it in the forums but got no results. Is their a guide somewhere?

Yeah i'm having the same winscp issue. I have ssh installed I'll give that a try. I thought it was an issue with my vista but i see others have the same problem.

but for OP, download "Finder" from Cydya and you can actually do it from your phone... go into the directory and change the permissions on the folder and/or files

why don't you connect winscp to iPhone via USB, if you are on on several different computers/routers? please download iPhone Tunnel Suite 7.1 (latest version), on iPhone, download openssh(download by Cydia). by this way, you could transfer file to or from iPHone and remote iphone from you computer.
