[NEW RELEASE] EvolutionRGB is a game of fire, plants and water
EvolutionRGB is a senseless and beautiful iPhone game of fire, plants and water. Some call it Sand v2, but we did not know Sand before developing it.
It allows the player to draw on the touch screen using different elements, like fire, water and plants. These elements interact with each other, so that the screen evolves over time. The iPhone's builtin accelerometer is used for the gravity direction so that water always falls down and fire burns upwards.
The project is open source (GPL v2) and hosted at
http://evolutionrgb.googlecode.com/
For installation with Installer.app, add the following URL to Installer.app:
www.mevis.de/~florian/ip/
Afterwards EvolutionRGB will be listed under Games.

Very addicting game. A lot more fun than the Sand one. Good job.

My son will play a lot with it (he likes sand very much)
Congratulations.

I love that game! Is it slow as Sand? Because Sand was a little bit slow.
EDIT: No, it's really fast! Props to the coder!Last edited by Xandu; 01-08-2008 at 07:01 AM.

Well, EvolutionRGB just runs on half the resolution and blows it up to
the full size, that's why it runs at 20 frames a second.
By the way, EvolutionRGB is now part of STE Packaging, so
you do not need to add the repository source anymore. Thanx, STE!

Any chance this can be ported to Windows? Without the accelerometer, of course. This would make a sweet app to leave running instead of a screen saver.
