Request: 2nd Menu?
Hey guys,
I'm not sure if this is where to put it, but I figured I would post it anyway. I don't know the first thing about coding, but I was wondering if it would be possible to create a Springboard button to link you to another menu (perhaps just like a list) of all your games (or whatever applications you please). I think it would be a lot easier to sort your games without cluttering up your Springboard/Main menu. This sort of thing might already be out there but I haven't found it =X
Thanks in advance!

hey, there's been a lot going on around here as far as figuring out a solution to the *very* limited space for application icons on the homescreen.
my personal favorite solution is iSwap, found here:

not exactly what your asking for, but might be a good solution for you anyway.
there is also another installer application that can be used to launch any program it has installed on your iPhone (regardless of whether or not it has an icon on your homescreen). I wouldn't suggest this program however as I've heard it has the ability to brick phones. might just be a rumor tho... I believe that download can be found on this site as well (in the downloads section) but im too lazy to link it for ya.. (one link is my limit!)
went and got you some more links anyway...

iLauncher/Installer (MAY BE UNSTABLE!):

I've Got an Idea
I'm not a coder, but I love my Iphone and the work you guys do. Question... Can it be possible to shell out another settings icon menu structure and use it for third party apps? there's already 13 tabs on it and it scrolls. Also, each one has an icon next to it. Would it be easier to duplicate and update this to show additional aps instead of taking up springboard space?? All these new icons are going to be space hogs. Just a thought

I tried to open several of the .plist in the preferences folder but it was a bit scrambled. Can someone post the .plist for that folder in a readable and editable format??

So Far...but need a little HELP
I just used the recommended site to convert the setting .plist file was able to create a basic menu structure with the following bullets..
Games
3rd party Apps
Utilities
Services
Web Apps
They're selectable but it just goes to an empty selction page. I think that if you want more then some type of CFBUNDLE file must be created for each category. Any suggestions?Last edited by gravytrain; 12-17-2007 at 04:00 PM.

Instead of a sub-menu you could be able to scroll through your applications like anything else on the iphone.
