vladimirk: This is a really nice app and beautifully presented to the user. Unfortunately, as I already discussed in the request thread, I find it very tedious to use converters like this. It requires way too many taps for a simply calculation. Then I saw someone posting this URL:

That is exactly how I would like to see it done. Please take a look at that implementation. It's not a nice app, but the concept is right. With your skills, you could easily make a screen with two colums, add the cool icons you have and have a killer converter unit.

after trying this out, i was smiling from ear to ear. it works perfectly. smooth and clean UI too! this is the only app that i had been eagerly awaiting for the longest time. it includes all the essential unit conversions already. anything else that would be added in the future would simply be the icing on the cake.

thank you vladimirk for releasing this app! this had proved to be a valuable tool in a lot of people's lives and is now sitting permanently on my dock.

Thank you for creating a converter app for the iPhone. Been waiting for one since I got the iphone. The only thing is it wouldn't launch after installation.

I installed it through SSH using Transmit into the /applications folder on my iPhone. When I launch the app, it just shows me the converter logo (cone and cube with arrows) on a black screen, and then kicks me back out to the SpringBoard.

I've just added Install.app repository: http://iphone.vladimirkofman.com (add it to your Installer Sources - you should see the Converter under "Vladimir Kofman's Applications" or smth like that).
Please let me know if it works for you... (I hope it is )

Wow.. thanks for the speedy response.. First great app been waiting for this..Run's amazing... Only problem so far is the conversion between kilos and pounds says 1kilo = 2pounds when it realy is 1kilo = 2.2pounds. I hope this can be fixed in future upgrades Thanks again

Thanks for this, a very useful app. It would be handy to have either bi-directional conversion (either field could be the "from" field) or the ability to touch a button to reverse the direction of conversion.
