alright, i've been waiting for this to go public for awhile now... got it today, works great, a few bugs but hey, impressed everyone i showed it to.

To get it working...

roms have to go in media/ROMs/PSX (i use afp so it's under root's home which gives me all the freespace i need, a psx image is 400+mb), best way i've found is have .img files.

for the bios (which in the read me says it adds compatibility) you have to go into the app package ( i use a mac so it's show package contents) and add it inside the app, no specific folder or anything. For american games you need the SCPH1001.BIN, 1000 for Jap, and 7502 for PAL.

zodttd has a great board just for their program over on their site, i don't know if i'm allowed to link or not, so i'll leave in and that, and everything else can be found through google and bittorrent (what can't nowadays) - hope this helps anyone

i found that the psx.app calls for a all lowercase scph1001.bin....or at least mine did!!

so far i think this is a great step forward, I'm sure it'll get better over time, so I wish the developer good luck in this goal

and if not, will ps1 games work on the psx by any chance?

yes psx is ps1.

Im having a problem with my game. I am using the game Driver 2. its a .Z file when i upload it the emu says "error opening CDR component". the game was a weird file when i downloaded it actually. it was .Z it was this Driver 2.7z

i assumed it was a .Z file so i deleted it and renamed it. anyone else having this problem. please help!!

am i only supposed to put 1 of them in my ~/media/ROMS/PSX folder? and which 1?

or to i have to compress them further into 1 file somehow? thanks

Put all three into the rom folder. That method works for me, even if it gets a little messy with a lot of roms.

I've tried four or five games Die Hard, Shrek, etc and all of had a slideshow framerate. I have to see anyone on any forum post the name of a game that's actually playable. psx4all has a long way to go.

.7z is a file format mate, it's the format of the 7-Zip compression tool. Put it back to .7z and then download 7-Zip which is freeware and decompress it with that just like if it were rar or zip, then keep 7-Zip because it does everything.

final fantasy 7 is ****** awsome, took a long time to get going, black screen i thought it would never boot, but it did and ran kind of slow not to bad, i changed the frameskip to 3, and of course its skipping frames but its alot faster (not so smooth, and not so fast eather) way better then you would ever expect a psx emulator to work on this thing, i cant wait till he works on it a bit more, im not so sure the save states work (i havent been able to load anything) also the emulator closes if u press the home button, instead of waiting for u to go back to it the way the nes emulator does.
