does the messages we send out on alige messenger count as sms text message or it uses edge ?

my friend downloaded this on her ipod touch and recommended it to me..
but i just can't find it on cydia..
obviously i have the modmyi source so i dont know why

as far as i know the makers of this app never updated it to work past firmware version 1.1.4. use beejive, it costs some $$$, but works great!

i have the agile messenger on my iphone,its one of the best apps there is and also one of the reasons i am still on 1.1.4!!!
