I have the .app installed, but I was curious at what formats are supported within the .zip file? I thought it would be nice to use with some ebooks and .pdf files within the zip... No luck. Are most comics generally in .jpg within a zip file??? Sorry not much of a comic book reader.

hi,
i hav noticed that when im running the unmodified app..it works on my iphone (wiht japanese text)
but when i change the string files....it doesnt run..wat am i doin wrong here

btw...when i download the english.zip from iphoneskinning.com....and unzip it..i get a folder called macosk..and two string files

Forget it..got it working...
had to copy both the folder and the two files into the app...
its working now..and its awesome!!!

hi how do you upload the english menu im using cyber duck when i unzip the english menu they have to localize strings but when i transfer the folder i still get the japanese menus...please help

inside the icomic there should be a folder, drag those string to that folder

Anybody know a site that you can download a WIDE variety of comics, not just manga? (Im kind of a comic book nerd, so having this would be really cool...)

its not allowed here to link to stuff like this but if anyone knows about waffles and is a member they jsut started to allow Comics. Even tho its a .cbr file you can unzip that file and rezip them into a .zip file and it works fine.

Which brings me to asking if this app can get more rar type file support. .cbr is standard for comics and is basically the same thing as a zip...can that be coded it along with .rar as well?

this app is what i've really been waiting for!

but i'm having problems with the blog link provided to get the app coz my pc just would not recognize its download link and wouldn't even show it. tried other PCs in our house without any luck.

Thanks vishnuvenky got it to work but i had to use my windows laptop because all this time i was using my macbook and i guess it didnt couldn't zip the files...but thanks again...

I'm having some troubles getting iComic to run. I've tried both versions that are available to download, I've made sure the permission is set to 755, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times.

My issue is that every time I launch it, it hangs on a blank screen and then goes back to the springboard. I'm running 1.1.1, anybody have and suggestions?

Can someone explain the settings to me? I really have no idea how anything works.
What do these do:
Move to Top Right
Scroll Speed (how many seconds is 50? 100? 70? I know what it does)
Slide to Right
Button Size
Rotations?

So confusing. Too lazy to figure it out :P

Read my post above...i had the same issue...
when copying the new files over to the japaneses strings...make sure u copy all the files given in the download for english strings!!
and try this..i found that win scp din set the permissions to these copied string files....go into that folder in winscp..and change the permissions for these files too

Thanks Vishnuvenky. I checked the strings and reset their permissions. Also off that I decided to check every item in the folder and the actual iComic wasn't set right... Got it working, thank god. Now this long flight home for the holidays will be filled with comic booky goodness!
