I swore I replied to this a day ago but I don't see it so here it is again.

Would it be possible to create a service to activate iMapidle?

Yes, probably if we knew a little bit about how it works.

Every time I reset the springboard, the darn app turns itself off. It would be great to be able to turn it on via BossPrefs and have it stay on after a reset.

This may be a tough one. It just depends on how the iMapIdle app works. It may reset because it is being launched from springboard somehow. Perhaps launching it from something else would solve it. Would need some research.

Question 2, on the new SyncJe app for syncing contacts/calender/notes you have to open the app and hit the sync button. Would it be possible to turn it on in BossPrefs and have it sync automatically, or even better sync on a schedule (but that would probably be an update to the SyncJE program).

This sounds like it would require support from SyncJe programmer to provide a cmd line interface for his app or such. Can you contact him and request it? All you probably need is a /sync option that is optionally passed in. When passed in the app should sync and close immediately without showing any display.

Lastly will BossPrefs be recognizing SummerBoard icons as your Categories app does, in a future release?

I've already installed Services.app. If I install BossPref, would it cause any conflict? Should I remove Services.app first before installing this app?

Quick question...is BossPrefs SMB compatible? By that I mean, will it use the dock and the icons of the SMB theme used?

I'm using BossPrefs and can change back and forth between themes with SMB no problem

Hi,

I have a 1.1.1 unlocked that has been working fine and used to switch off EDGE and the rest with Bossprefs. But now Edge does not turn off anymor it just turns off for a few seconds. In the past even Netservices and iToggle used to work but now nothing. I am not sure if the installer updated for me iTOggle to a newer version. Could there be a conflict?

I noticed that Netservices does not record Edge as on when the icon is there but Bossprefs tries to swith it off for a few secs then it is automatically turned on.

Any ideas please?

I tried reinstalling apps but no avail

i don't use wireless always so closing it... but if i find myself in trouble with the phone, i will need SSH and Wi-Fi... so this option can help on some situations...

Well - to put it simply: Since I installed Bossprefs and tried to play with the EDGE on/off features, I can not get the EDGE to work again. It's like DEAD completely, in the prefs window, it looks like EDGE is "on" (although in small letters under EDGE it says "N/A"), i have been turning the phone on and off, changed the card, ... there seems no way to get the EDGE to work again.

how do i remove icons from the springboard? i tried searching but i couldn't find anything. i want to remove installer, smbprefs, settings and stocks and itunes...since i dont' use them.

Edit the file "Preferences.plist" inside /Library/Preferences/Systemconfiguration and set "Available" back to 1 in your configuration.

Just installed via Install.app. So far so good!

I love that the IP address appears next to the service. Does this run through Services? Do I need to keep that installed like the other pref panes?

If I try to switch EDGE OFF, the iPhone goes to "locked SIM" and the EDGE is't switched OFF!?

Hey there BigBoss - thanks for such a great app that centralises the control of prefs!

One thing I miss from NetServices is the ability to toggle Auto-Lock between never and the setting in Preferences. I know it's just a few taps away under Preferences, but it would be useful on the main screen. I often have a need to enable SSH and disable Auto-Lock at the same time, e.g. when manually installing apps or looking under-the-hood.

No need to write a dedicated plugin - if you can simply supply the right settings to enter in your Add Service screen, that would be FAB!
