Ok i think i know why mine won't send.
First off i was getting an error message straight away saying that it won't send the phone wouldn't even try. This was because i had EDGE turned off (through netservices app) i turned it on and then the phone would try to send for about 45 seconds then fail.
The reason behind this was here in Australia we use the GPRS as our main data network (slower & cheaper yes we are behind) to send MMS's and the iPhone uses the EDGE data network. Now Australia does have the EDGE network but with my service provider you can't use it as part of your normal service it is an additional fee.
Sucks for me because if i am correct with this idea then i may never be able to get the MMS's to work until EDGE is included in my plan or iPhone decide to include GPRS as well as EDGE...
But congrats on the making of this program it has potential. Be kind people, the makers are only here to help and the best thing you can do i just leave a post about what you find to give them help to fix the problems.
Hey mate i contacted vodafone au directly and requested them here is what i have found but it doesn't work.
EDGE settings are
APN:live.vodafone.com
USERNAME & PASSWORD:are both left blank
MMS settings are
MMSC: http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend
PROXY: 010.202.002.60
PORT: 8080 or 9210
if you read my post above of my findings I'm guessing you might find the same thing depending if you are on the same type of plan as me. (I'm on a $49 maxi prepaid cap and EDGE is not included i have o buy and extras pack to use EDGE)Last edited by srbug; 12-06-2007 at 02:02 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Cheers SRbug for the feedback,
Yep i am on the same cap as you are, I was hoping we may be able to do it with GPRS as we are able to do with a normal phone,, but not to be thanks for getting back to me with your info. I was using an Edge package from Telstra when i first got my fone at $29 for 70MB(prepaided) but now am getting sick of swapping sim cards over!
Cheers again,
N

For srbug and nickh in particular (and everyone else of course)...
SUCCESS!
I'm on Vodafone in Australia and on an old post paid plan which allows MMS/data.
I've successfully sent an MMS and had it confirmed on the other end with these settings...
In the MMS app:
In the EDGE SETTINGS:Code:MMSC: pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend Proxy: 10.202.2.60:8080
WI-FI switched OFFCode:APN: live.vodafone.com
Thanks Suavphisticated, for a great and much requested basic feature that should have come pre-installed! Looking forward to its development.

UPDATE I can confirm i was able to send a MMS with a postpaid plan (which i use in a vodafone connect card for my laptop) I sent it to my Old Motorola, but i had a message pop upon the screen "file to large to view" i swapped to my prepay which i use in phone but unable to send with prepay,"error sending message" as SR stated above, an extras pack must be purchased to enable this function.
