I delete the file and put my info again but still can't coonect to the server.
Im using the same wifi connection for my laptop and iphone,maybe is got something to do with the problem?

Looks great, and I plan on installing it, but how do people post their libraries for you to load, and a suggestion for the future, make the all songs area sorted by letter...

@chrisperro, iTunes (and Winamp for the PC and, soon, rhythmbox and banshee on Linux) is only used for playback on that computer. Let’s say all of your music is on a media server, you don’t even need a player installed to enjoy from that computer on your iPhone. Just Simplify Media, which must be running.

@agl917, we agree. sort (and jump to a letter) would make All Songs more userful.

@Jodie and chrisperro, thank you for helping us find a bug

For the curious, we neglect to trim trailing spaces after your screen name and password if you enter one by accident on the iPhone. When we send the information to our authentication server, the authentication server throws an error because of the space and the connection times out. If your credentials were just wrong, you would be prompted that your login failed, but in this case we don’t do that.

We’ll fix this quickly, but, for now, don’t enter a space after your user name If you get a can’t connect message over and over again, as Jodie suggests delete this file:

/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.simplifymedia.mobilemanager.plist

I think everyone is up and running now (including meagain). Lgreenberg still has a playlist problem, but it isn’t iPhone-related and hopefully we can track that down soon too. We’ll continue to read MMi, but if you have any trouble drop us an email to make sure we see it. Thanks again!

Awesome, this is a great app! I am a musician, and am often at practice wanting to show a certain song and don't have it with me, although its on my home computer. SimplifyMedia has already come in handy - being able to whip out the iPhone and log on to my home computer and play a song. Good times. Thanks, Paul.

Has anyone else tried this with a fairly large iTunes library (>25000 titles) and found it takes a very long time to build the index?

@listenclose, it is audio only (for now). But, it can play the mp3, aac, wma and apple lossless files on your PC or Mac. Shortly we'll have a linux version too.

@soulflow, wifi only (for now). We've designed it to work with EDGE as well, but there are still a number of bugs to work out.

@Dave, my home library is 10K songs, and we have users with collections as big as yours. It does take a while to build the song list the first time (and it is inconvenient that playlists aren't shown for a particular computer until this completes). However, after that, we store the list and processing updates is much faster.

well i got this to work on my 1.0.2 phone and it works fine. all playlist and songs show up, and they play fine. the only problem is when i pause the song, then select done and exit the app and launch the app later it`s just the background screen where i left off. the only way to get around this is to restart springboard. i hope you can fix this for those of us still on 1.0.2. it`s a great app. thanx

i cnt get my simplify connect to my itunes how can i get the shared folder on my itunes,and on my simplyfy it say no playable files

No playable files. I tried syncing with a single song in a single folder and it's still showing the same message....zzzz...

I hope these guys aren't phishing.

Vista Home Premium, iPod Touch 1.1.2

I have about 5000 songs. Time goes by, I can see the EXE is at work but the message in the box doesn't change. How long is this supposed to take?

@pleyah69bjay and caubeck, *please* send us a message at support at simplifymedia so we can get this solved.

re: phishing, always a valid concern for new companies. You should be re-assured to know that we a US-based with a strict privacy policy. The only information we ask for is a user name and password, and we encrypt all streams for security. We don't even require an email address, although providing one is a handy if you forget your password. Otherwise there is no way to recover it and you will have to create a new account.

As you probably saw upthread, there are a number of happy MMi folks, and thousands on the iPhone in the past 10 days.
