Locate your iPhone by SMS with Navizon
A new version of Navizon has been released. This version contains a new service called Mobfindr that will let anyone locate their phone (or locate their friends) simply by sending an SMS with a pass-code.
This can be very useful if you ever lose your device or try to locate one of your friends (as long as they are willing to share their pass-code with you).
This service is triggered only when it receives an SMS asking for the geographic location, which means that it will not have any impact on the battery life or the performance of the phone.
More details here.

Works great. I hadn't been using Navizon for a while but now I will because of this feature. I've also poofed Navizon so any would be thieves can't turn off the feature.

Proving yet again another way of recovering something that may or may not get stolen. Anyway, having something like this in an app like this would make sense, since it deals with location. Now I wonder if someone like this will be built into the GPS feature on the new firmware 2.0 for the 3G iPhone? Phone tracking anyone?

I loaded Navizon last night and the mobfindr part seemed to work pretty good. This morning when I tried it however, instead of it sending me a text with my phones coordinates it sent me an actual address (which couldn't be clicked on to show me on the map). Now when I try to use the mobfindr-texting part it doesn't even text me back anything.
Anyone else encountering strange happenings like this?
