Default Mobile Safari plug-in downloads files to your iPhone/iPod Touch
iPhone hacker hachu developed a download plug-in for MobileSafari. Once installed and customized, it allows you to download data off the Internet and store it on your iPhone or iPod touch local disk in the /var/root/Downloads folder.

8GB, Jailbroke, 1.1.1-Never Had A Prob With This One...

yah this would be nice on 1.1.1 with something that could move files around, and then read them with pdf viewer

You went on a nice spamming spree it seems.
    Well, careful with that.
    [/OFF]

Doesn't seem to work on 1.1.4 for the time being.
Let's hope the SDK brings us a more complete Safari DL plugin.
