I followed the app instalation tutorial completely, put the apps in the application folder, changed permissions, and the home screen is exactly the same. What am I doing wrong?

    Yeah, I did that. I did everything the tutorial said. The phone still has the same 12 apps that it always has.

    You might have done the same thing I did. When installing my first app, I put them under the /var/root directory(I think it was var)...what you should do is go all the way to the root of the directory and go into Applications.

    That should be edited into the wiki, it doesn't specify.

    And copy the application's folder there. Then you change the properties, etc....which you should have done.

    Yeah, I figured that out. I did the same thing as you, snuwoods.
    It really should specify that.
