I have succesfully installed SSH, but when i use a client connect to my iphone and get to the step that i enter the phones ip address, i find myself unable to connect.
i dont believe my computers network is the same as the WiFi,
assuming there not the same network, is there a way of getting the apps such as the nes rom, on my iphone, i tried manazaa and that failed horribly.
You are most definitely not on the same network. You need to have the same subnet in order to be able to talk.
Your computer needs to have an IP address of 192.168.100.xxx and a subnet of 255.255.255.0, or you need to configure your iphone to be on the 10.134.138.xxx network.
Nice! No, if you are at work you most likely cant/shouldnt be messing with your network settings. I coudlnt even begin to tell you what to do without knowing your entire network setup.
Must be nice... I would ask your network engineer about getting them both on the same subnet if its your job. It shouldnt really be a problem for him (or any of your IT staff). Sorry I cant be of more help..
Fake edit:
Actually, I guess Im getting paid to screw around with the phone too, except my boss just doesnt know it...
After searching around I found a very good program. It gets access to the iphone`s files through USB. Without the use of ssh. It`s called iphone browser (windows only, from what I saw)
