A new app called "Make It Mine" just showed up in my installer! It's made by Ste and you can find it under Utilities (or recent ). The description is "lets you set a fake carrier".

Basically it pops up a prompt where you can either type in what you want your carrier to be and set it, or hit revert to go back to your old settings. For the countless people that have changed their carrier already through Customize, it will still change your carrier AND when you hit Revert, it will go back to your Customize carrier (not the default AT&T as I assumed it would). As its version 0.01 I can only imagine that there will be future support for different texts, colors, fonts, etc and maybe even pictures. A great lil app with awesome potential. (Also a very small filesize).

NOTE: Also neat...If you type in something too long to fit in the space provided the iPhone automatically puts a "..." and every now and then it will do a real cool scroll back and forth to show the entire carrier name. Try it out yourself to see what I mean . (I am assuming that the iPhone software does this not the Make It Mine)

i just downgraded again from 1.1.2 to 1.02 - mabye it's not compatible

no joy for me aswell and im on 1.0.2.
it justs soft restarts but still the same,yes im able to change it with customize.

upgrading back to 1.1.2 right now, sweet app
1.02 i cant stand the speaker volume or camera....

am using 1.1.2, the app works with no problem, changed the provider name instantly without having to restart the phone.

I'm running on firmware v1.1.1, originally 1.0.1 and my "Make It Mine" worked.

I cant get it to work right....im on 1.0.2, should it work on my phone....my carrier never changes

same here.. i guess this app is not compatible with 1.0.2
