here is Pool version 2.0, I got it right from the dev's website, I just searched google for "iPhone Pool 2.0"

uninstall version 2.1, ssh version 2.0, set permissions to 0755

reboot phone, enjoy

mods, hope this is ok

I agree that there should be a clear warning that updating the app will cost you if you want to continue using it.

I think this kind of thing is a major reason why people go looking for hacks, as they feel that they have been cheated...

Sucks that i have to use one of my first ever posts on MMi to say this but:

This is totally not worth the asking price. They can't even churn out game play and graphics as good as 2005 era Micropool on Symbian OS, yet they charge?


Seems like the new fad. release a beta version gratis, get people to beta test and then charge for the app.

I'll pass.

I hate that they "pulled an iBlackjack". Don't they know it makes them look like dicks and people will simply go back to the old version.

I mean I'm all for it if they want to charge for heir work, but like the gentleman above me said, give the user fair warning.

EDIT: Okay, I SSHed the old one in and now when I enter the application, it goes to the pool table with no balls and no options, and eventually exits out.

EDIT 2: I'm an idiot. Forgot to set permissions...

they had now an option to install 2.0 or 2.1,, Am going to make my donation.. As least they are better than iBlackjack.. FYI, I see 2 versions of pool in my installer..

Yes guys, don't be silly, you can get 2.0 from Ste's packaging, I was dismayed when I realised what the developer ahd done, because let's face it all they did was so called 'bug fixes' which I've never had problems with. Luckily the 2.0 is still there, so I just downgraded, saved myself some money, and as far as I can see apart from sounds there is no difference! Hooray

I'm not a jerk, I pay money for apps that are really good, well so far, I've only payed for iPhoneVideoRecorder but it is worth every penny

I have 2.1 and everything works fine, single player, 2 player, and i didnt pay for anything
