Hi folks,
I wrote an application that might be of interest. It is called BeenThere and the purpose is to upload tagged (and geotagged) pictures onethefly to the Internet. The pictures are uploaded to a google app engine app
http://geoplaces.appspot.com/ that you can access with your gmail user and pass. Right now there is only a bunch of my testing pictures but if you are into geotagged pictures check it out and you can add more.
Both the native app and the webapp are somewhat simple in terms of features but functional but are meant to grow with time.
I envision a different kind of application to say Flickr, where geotaggint and on-the-fly characteristics play a much more important role.
To install it add the repository
http://mazinger.cs.yale.edu/iphone-apps/index.xml or download directly from
http://mazinger.cs.yale.edu/iphone-a.../BeenThere.zip. There is some extra documentation on the appspot site
http://geoplaces.appspot.com/wiki/GettingStarted
cheers, Felipe
So aparently I did the first post and all the URL where not displayed. I fixed that.
