BeenThere:Online geotagded pictures
Hi folks,
I wrote an application that might be of interest. It is called BeenThere and the purpose is to upload tagged (and geotagged) pictures onethefly to the Internet. The pictures are uploaded to a google app engine app http://geoplaces.appspot.com/ that you can access with your gmail user and pass. Right now there is only a bunch of my testing pictures but if you are into geotagged pictures check it out and you can add more.
Both the native app and the webapp are somewhat simple in terms of features but functional but are meant to grow with time.
I envision a different kind of application to say Flickr, where geotaggint and on-the-fly characteristics play a much more important role.
To install it add the repository http://mazinger.cs.yale.edu/iphone-apps/index.xml or download directly from http://mazinger.cs.yale.edu/iphone-a.../BeenThere.zip. There is some extra documentation on the appspot site http://geoplaces.appspot.com/wiki/GettingStarted
cheers, Felipe

Looking for adventurous facebook users
So I added some facebook integration to BeenThere and need some facebook users to try it out. Now when you make a post using BeenThere, if you add the BeenThere facebook app, it will show in your friends news feed. Also pictures can be uploaded to your facebook photos.
As with the whole BeenThere idea, the facebook application is somewhat inmature, so please (please!) send me an email([email protected]) if it works or if it doesn't.
You can add the application facebook with this link:

for more info on how to use BeenThere check the (scarce) documentation BeenThere!:From your iPhone to the Net in 60 seconds
