Hey everyone - sorry for the absence from this forum lately. I've been neck deep in the SDK and working to try and figure it all out. Needless to say, it's unlikely that most of NetServices capabilities will be supported under Apple's app guidelines which is unfortunate.
That said, I will certainly still work to bring the current release up to match current iPhone firmware. The bulk of the problems that you are all having is due to the fact that many of the elements built into NetServices are still set up for firmware prior to 1.3. It therefore accesses a different user structure (root as opposed to mobile). This means that it often looks for things in the incorrect locations or is unable to perform certain coded tasks due to permission issues.
I will do what I can to make NetServices current as soon as possible and I appreciate your input and patience.

I got edge to stay off, but when i test it to make sure, it still connects via edge. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm running on 1.1.3, in which i upgraded from 1.1.1
update: I've tried setting permissions from 775 - 755 still no change.
I can get edge, bt, wifi, etc to stay off when i want too, but when edge and Bluetooth are off, edge will still connect

iOS5 allows you to access certain settings via URL, see the complete list towards the end of this link:
How to Create Custom Shortcuts For WiFi Settings, Airplane Mode, and More – No Jailbreak Required
For a quick Bluetooth only shortcut check out QwikBT by Meachware, they have an app for old iOS versions but the iOS5 URL-based bookmark is free: QwikBT for iOS 5
