customize update

so i noticed there was a new customize update so i installed. and guess what it still doesn't work with 1.1.4. But it does say it has more options than you can shake a stick at, i guess thats good if you cant get it to work right...

I think you need to follow the installation page exactly. Its been working with 1.1.4 for awhile now. It works perfectly on my phone and the new feature is "Import SMB Themes" I still prefer the old version over this but it does work.

Here is the link to the install page: Customize, a native iPhone application by The Spicy Chicken

jus some icons or all? it'll only change icons for the programs icons are included for. not every theme has icons for EVERY app out there.

what is the source that adds the suid fix.... that seems to be the common answer to fixing customize but it is not in my installer at all. I have been using a modded customize on my 1.1.4 iphone as well as touch but there are only 4 theme packages for customize in the installer. In my opinion nothing is as good as the good ol' customize running on 1.1.1, at least i have options.

I have made my own icons to match my theme if they weren't included in the set.

I'm running the same old customize on my 1.1.4 that I ran since 1.1.1.

Ok customize seems to be getting worse and worse. It used to work perfectly for me(customize 2.0 btw). Recently the themes you download dont pop up in your my themes.

And now themes i download dont install the icons(all icons). And then my favorite theme MacVisions isnt even in the themes section.

Did i mention that new themes sometimes doesnt display anything.

BTW these are all problems reported by many other ppl in the customize app forums.

i was having problems with the wallpapers not working as well, and i read some different things to try and i finally got the wallpapers to show.

have 1.1.4 with the latest version of customize and summerboard installed.

uninstall both and start from scratch, if they are already installed.
install customize, then summerboard.

then i think the key to getting the wallpapers to actually work are merely the settings.

all that needs to be set are the summerboard settings.
make sure summerboard is turned on.
Under theme selection, select Customize.
then turn on Theme wallpaper and Advanced: Wallpaper on.
everything else is set to off.

under customize select the wallpaper you wish to use.

then restart springboard and all should be well.

i was playing around with this for hours and its what got it work.
i hope it may help you guys out.
