not sure what the problem is with your phones, but I am on a Pwned 1.1.4, using freeboard with a 5 icon dock, and I am using intelliscreen v1.05 and everything is working flawlessly... I dont believe I did anything special. Is anyone else successfully running these two apps?

PSUSKEELS: Oh, I had an idea for future updates... Most of my music has the lyrics incoded into the mp3, so maybe you can add a tab that will display the song lyrics when you are playing music... just a thought.

The more permanent fix will come in 1.06 - which will allow you to do this via the IntelliScreen Settings when it has detected another App has overwritten the iPhone SpringBoard startup file.

Thanks for your patience.
Cool thanks a lot...my money well invested

Hi

Altough I have been following this post from the very beggining it's the first time I post.
I adored the software from the beggining but I must say that I think you should've told people that you planned on having it comercialized.

I am still on my trial period and I am willing to pay for it, but first I would like to clarify something: have you found some correlation between battery comsuption and you application? Because I almost certainly can correlate them both, and altought I love this bit of software I will not sacrify my battery just to have it.

Thanks in advance
Miguel

firstly, why should he have? it was in beta to test first, and as with most newer apps, they are appearing to become more commercialised. Also as a developer he has every right to do just that based on its popularity. if you want the freebie version, find a copy of the old 0.95 beta!

As for the battery, i dont think intelli is strictly the sole battery killer! also depends on what you have it do, me for example, i dont show my email coz i dont care outside of work, i have sms, weather & news - my battery lasts fine no probs - altho i do charge everynight when i go to bed anyway the lowest its ever got was 1/3 remaining after some hefty usage in the day!

I just think they should have informed us, but nevermind - that is just my personal opinion and I do accept other points of view.

As for my major concern, the battery - I only have Intelli showing the calendar and new SMS - nothing else once that's all I need.

Nevertheless, I do seem do find some correlation between battery comsuption and the application.

Never had a problem with the battery.
The iPhone comes with a dock so you can change it with ease... Plug it into a computer, with older mobiles you used to have to charge from a wall outlet. iPhones are bless with the ability to charge from the computer, although more phones are able to do that these days...
I think that this app has nothing to do with battery, maybe earlier versions, but now people are just paranoid... Someone says there battery doesn't last long enough, so every one thinks that their's doesn't too if it fattens 10 minuets quicker than usual...

This may have been fixed but I had a battey problem with version 1.03 and it was to do with the calendar.

I had an appointment at 4pm and my next appointment was a week away. When it got to about 6pm on the day of the appointment, I flicked on my iPhone and noticed that the refresh button on the calendar bit of intelliscreen was spinning but no update was taking place.

I left it a while and when I checked again, the refresh was still spinning, the old appointment was still there and my battery level had significantly dropped.

I use the calendar, and the email, and the SMS notification, and the RSS reader, and the weather, and every function on my iPhone. That's why I have an iPhone, not just for the novelty of it. I use every function on IntelliScreen, with the exception of the sound notification of events, because that would annoy me and everyone else around. A simple vibrate works fine. The flash notification is ok, too.

That being said, I have had no battery issues on my iPhone using IntelliScreen.

Tried to installl

I installed the 1.05 version from the Intelliborn source but for some reason it works on the preview but not on the lock screen. I restarted after downloading and it didn't show up. It I also installed the "Intelliscreen - Not Working" version 1.3 as directed in the FAQs but it still didn't show up. I restarted and didn't show up. Im on a Ziphoned 1.1.4 and I have the BSD version 2.1 installed. I don't know if it matters but I also have the 1.1.4 Compatibility Patch.

I think this will be a very useful app for me and will be more than happy to pay (once I get it working). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You probably haven't downloaded the license. You have to do that even for the trial to work.
