It only takes a look at the website and you'll know what it does. It's also pretty obvious from the name of the application - that it enables you to send sms over the internet at a 'cheaper price' than through your cell provider

Just use Fring, and add phone numbers to someone's cell phone into your buddy list.

This is a good app but the price is $0.10 a message... thats no cheaper than any sms plan ive had for any of my past phones... Not so cheap after all is it.

There is also a setting where you can use that app with your carrier. It takes over your native sms

Well, it's major advantage is you can send test/sms around the world for $0.10.

My prepaid card is $0.15 domestically, and when I travel to France I pay about $1.50 to send an sms.

Depends on our contract.
For example-I dont need it... I pay 20$ and have 100SMS for free per month,I dont need it... For someone it might be VERY useful....
