Help... I must be something obviously wrong.

I am on 1.1.4 using .921 on an original 1.0 phone unlocked with iLiberty+

Installed ruB with installer from the BBoss repo.

It will open a pdf and I can scroll with my thumb. I can zoom via the two finger pinch. It will not autoscroll, volume buttons do not scroll, play button doesn't do anything, fwd/bck buttons do nothing. Tapping the screen makes it bounce and I can't figure out how to get the top and bottom bars when hidden.

I have tried 0777 everything with no luck. I have reinstalled it with the same results. I have moved the pdfs around.. still no go. All I can figure is that I am missing something very simple...

That's normal behaviour - for PDFs it's only simple viewer through Safari engine. I am exploring ways to improve it, but won't promise anything yet.

Hi Colel, thanks for great app. I often listen to music while reading ebooks in RuBooks. I love using the volume buttons to scroll. However, when I power off the screen to listen to music only, the volume buttons don't revert back to the ipod. Is there any way this can be changed so that the volume buttons go back to changing the volume when the screen is turned off?

I had this app before I upgraded to 2.0. I don't care for the readers that are available and I want to re-intall this. I found an app that is supposed to let some 1.4 apps work on 2.0 and I want to try it. My only problem is that I can't find anywhere to DL this from so I can SSH it to my ipod.

Does anyone have a DL link for ruBooks?

Luckly i downloaded all the app i had on my iphone to my pc before i upgraded to 2.0 i can zip it up for you... where did you fine that program btw....

Thanks for the upload. I installed the toolchain and it looks like this is going to be beyond my ability. I was hoping that either I could just change some permissions or that the toolchain would make it compatible. Wrong on both counts. Hopefully we get an updated version soon. All the readers available right now suck.

hi persichini, do you mean that rubooks runs correctly on your 1st generation iphone pwned to 2.0? Did you simply copy/pasted by SSH on the apps folder? thank you for support!

In my case when I try opening a doc file it just springs back to springboard.

Whenever I open the only ebook I have, a pdf that is around 20mb in size, this app instantly closes. I've tried restarting the phone, and that didn't help. Is this file too large for this app? I am able to open the file in safari using the file:// plugin, so I know it's possible for the phone to view it.
