GeoStars:Geo-Local search of rated stuff

Hi guys,

Just posted a new app. It is similar to GeoPedia in how it works. GeoStars is used to search for local "things" that are near you and have a rating in Yahoo!Local. You can search for food, theaters, well anything that might appear in Yahoo!Local. The pictures show as example the result of searching for "pizza" while being in New Haven. Let me know how it works for you. As with GeoPedia the search is based on your current location.

I can find geopedia but not this on the repo.

Looks great. Geopedia is also very cool. I haven't got a chance to download it yet since the site appears down, but the word "Average" is misspelled (missing the r). Like I said, since I haven't d/led it yet, maybe it's only misspelled in the screen shot.

The other Geopedia app works brilliantly over here, just need this now.

This app is only in my testing repo until I think it works good enough for a public release. That should be soon.

So Yahoo!local works only in the US? that sucks.

If you google for Yahoo local in the UK, it does exist.

www.uk.local.yahoo.com.

So in reality it should work, but if I just type say 'pizza' in, I just get a blank screen.
