question about mobile Safari

When I launch Safari, if opens with a single blank page set from the previous time, it always displays the Bookmarks menu. Anyone else?

So you get a blank page, but the bookmarks menu is not displayed automatically thereafter?

yes, but its pretty hard to get mobilesafari to show a blank page at all. unless you enter in a incorrect address it always brings up the page you visited last.

Well, you can click on the "page" or "tab" icon (bottom right of screen), click on "new page," then scroll to the previous page, close it, and you'll have a blank page. Quit Safari, and relaunch. Do you get the Bookmarks menu?

Or hold down the home key until Safari exits. Open Safari back up, and you should have a blank page with the bookmarks menu.

Right, but why is the Bookmarks menu being displayed?

I like returning the browser to a blank page when I'm done, so I've put a bookmark called "blank" which points to "about:blank" at the top of my bookmarks list. When you want to close the page you're viewing, just tap "bookmarks" then "blank". Clean screen!

Sometimes you have to do it more than once, I've noticed.
