SMS Apps slow

I need some help on the SMS application being slow. It takes about 10 seconds to start and about the same to see the messages. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

How many messages do u have in the convo? It you have a huge number of messages it can lag a few seconds on the load time. I have one friend with about a thousand texts in the conversation and it can take a few seconds to load it. If that's the case try removing some of the texts with pysl or anyother app. Or just clear the convo.

I have the same issue, does anyone know the cause?

I cleared down all my SMS's, seemed to speed it up for a few days, now its back to sloooo-o-o-o-w opening up when the SMS button is pressed - annoying! I'm on 1.1.4 also

just feedback here: I am still having same problem

Have jb and unlock on 1.1.3 then 1.1.4
also tried remove SMS.db file via AFP (but there seems to be multiple of these in the file system)
also deleted all SMS from system
still slow to load. even from empty SMS list
send speed seems ok, tho crashing once in a while

me thinks / feels that it has something to do with the damn file structure in 1.1.3 or was it 1.1.4?

Good luck to all.

same problem here.

Just bought 1 day old 2.1 white 16gb .... same issues...
Its the phone.
The fw needs to be updated...

From what I READ... if you guys update to 2.0 not 2.1 it will be good.
2.1 seems to be the same as you guys are reporting..

I push the SMS icon and I see the blank SMS screen for a solid 5 seconds.

:-(
