Caterpillar 1.1.1 Installation Problem
I have been trying to install Caterpillar 1.1.1 via SSH but when I run it, it says
"Insufficient Permissions, The Installer was launched with insufficient permissions. Please reinstall it using Installer.app and try again (not running as root or not setuid root)."
I have tried setting the permissions as 0775 but that doesnt help either. Any help plz.
Edit: I figured that the Caterpillar app file has to be set to 6755. But everytime I change the permissions to 6755 and then check the permissions again, it automatically goes back to 0755. How can I make it stick to 6755 permissions?
C'mon people........someone help ! I have caterpillar 1.1.1 zip.....jus need to figure out how to install it via ssh.Last edited by dhawalsinha; 03-28-2008 at 05:38 AM.

The problem is your installer. I believe caterpillar corrupts installers permissions, and as a result, you will see a lot of script errors.
There is a fix for it that you need to perform in SSH. Google it, and look for it on youtube.
