I recently jailbroke my iphone like about two weeks ago and everything was doing great until i received a msg that icloud ia not backing up!
I tried to backup manually but it just wont work, it gives a msg "less than 1 minute remaining " and then says that backup was not successful.

Any tweaks you installed that could mess this up?
There's other people that have had this issue too.
Did you set up an iCloud as well?I will no longer be very active here anymore due to a variety of reasons.

Maybe I should rephrase it lol. Is iCloud setup in the first place? It needs to be setup for each device you have.
And is iCloud filled up by the way (default amount of storage you have is 5 GB) if it's filled completely, that's why you're getting the error.
And by filled up I mean by is the space all taken up on iCloud.I will no longer be very active here anymore due to a variety of reasons.

Hahahaha, yes it's on and not full, i still have 2.4gb available.
I am so frustrated and curious to know what happened!

That's just weird -_-
OK read this, I think it will help you significantly. Hopefully what Apple says will work.

Nop, already read it. When i try to backup manually, it starts the backup and then says: "less than one minute remaining" and after that it shows that the backup could not be completed. When i plugged it to the pc i accidently noticed that on itunes it mentions that: "this device was backed up to icloud TODAY"
So what do u think?

Maybe it's something with the device not updating it promptly? I'm kinda confused why it's doing this.
It could also be that iTunes is thinking it backed it up since it did attempt to back it up. I would honestly try a restore, if you weren't having these problems before, it seems just kinda odd.I will no longer be very active here anymore due to a variety of reasons.

sorry guys, but i am really new to this jailbreaking issues! see my friend jailbroke the phone for me so i can download free games and apps, besides that i don't have a clue
So what should i keep and what should i delete?
07-06-2012, 06:09 PM #15
The use of 'cracked apps' or 'warez', referring to commercial applications available on the iTunes App Store or Cydia Store that have been modified and distributed by third parties for free, is frowned upon by the community and against the forum rules; developers value your support!
Remove all warez repos in Cydia and start fresh.

Aha, so all i have to keep in my sources list is the original ones that were when i first jailbroke the phone, right?
07-06-2012, 06:16 PM #17
Well, there are more repos that can be added, on the front page of Cydia, there is a link to additional ones also. "More Package Sources".
I would stay clear of pirated apps, it causes so many issues and you will get no support here for them either.

Alright will do! That's gonna sound stupid, but i really didn't know that there were hacked repos also! this is the first time i jailbreak an iphone.
Thanks for the help guys
