Thread: BUG with iPhone 3GS iOS 5.1.1 and Travel Simcards using "callback"

Exclamation BUG with iPhone 3GS iOS 5.1.1 and Travel Simcards using "callback"
Issue: Travel SImcards using callback feature to reduce roaming costs, when being used on an iPhone 3GS with latest iOS firmware 5.1.1 (clean restore), force Springboard to restart, making it impossible to place a call!.

Conclusion: After days of research I found out that the problem was actually Apple's firmware itself. When I downgraded to iOS 5.0.1 (clean restore), the problem was no longer there and I was able to use Travel Simcard normally without any problems.

P.S. Btw for people that are interested and/or affected by this problem, Crash Reporter suggested that the Springboard was crashing due to MailDataProvider.

Most likely because it wasn't compatible with your iOS version.

Simcards are universal - I got two different providers. Should not be a compatibility problem.
Furthermore I use them on other iPhones with prior to 5.1.1 firmwares and they work like a charm.
It is 100% problem with the latest firmware for iPhone 3GS

I mean by maybe your unlock device doesn't work with your iOS version. What carrier are you using and is it supported by the company or unlocked?
