What is the demo.app?

On a 1.1.4 is that any reason for the demo.app?
It does not have any icon and doesn't seem to do anything.
With the 79 app limitation can I delete it, or does it serve a purpose?

i would like to know this as well. Maybe it has something to do with floor models in the apple store?

i was one of those people waiting in line all day on June 29th to get the first iPhones ever sold, and when we were entering the store, there were iphones on display showing all the features of the phone and just continuously played that. I'm 99.9% sure they had DemoApp running with a video loaded onto it to loop the features over and over. I've always thought it would be cool to find out what video formats DemoApp supports and then SSH into the phone and load a visualizer or something like that in to the Demoapp.app folder and it would just play over and over like a screen saver.
