Customize 2.0 Aplha Discussion

I see that the Customize 2.0 has been released without invites and is available from www.iappcat.com .....My question is ....should you remove previous Customize Version prior to installing the Alpha Version of Customize?

I am currently using.... and its working.... Customize 2.1 (Custom) 2 on 1.1.4

How'd you manage this? When you install, and then open it without invite, it tells you that your phone is not registered at the server, so you only have access to the most basic functions, really.

true true, you must be registered on their site in order to properly use the new customize.

I updated to version 16 today and Summerboard is now inside Customize. When i would run Sb i didn't have the Customize theme whic hi believe in turn made the wallpapers all wacked out (I had to save the wallpaper from the theme i wanted and put it in a folder on my computer and sync it with my ipod's pics to use it like that). But now that sb is in Customize, the customize theme was already in it, allowing me to switch the theme and toggle theme wallpapers back on and now i can change my wallpapers inside Customize without getting the copy failed screen. I'm loving the new Customize.

(I'm a big fan of that one Halo theme were each icon was a different Halo 3 medal, would i need to contact the creator of this summerboard theme and get permision to use his idea to create a Halo 3 medals theme or can i do it myself since technically it's not his property, just his idea?)

i got an invitation, installed it, but as soon as i "click" the customize, it crashes and i am in the man screen again

I love the new Customize 2.0! Its awesome that ya have the theme and dont waste time with them in installer downloading them.

I am also glad Spicy is working on the 5 Icon Dock,

hmm i got it a while ago only installed it yesterday uninstalled it in about 3 minutes mainly because the gui hasnt been made yet (very well i prefer the old one)

No, it's the regular font. That person just happen to have changed that font himself, using another program.

Spicey and I have been working together for awhile now. He was waiting patiently for me to get to icon swapping code into Customize. I'm glad he's not waiting on me anymore.

I look forward to not having to support iSwitcherAE and will convert my theme packs to Customize once the app has been released.

Nice.... now if we could just get the homepage wallpaper without SummerBoard, we'd be down to just Customize (Categories concept is nice but clearly not ready for the tappit crowd(1)


(1) Tappit crowd refers to the over 90+% of Installer app users that simply must tap and install something every 15 minutes or they will experience a panic attack without having a flippin clue as to the app's function or bother to read any sort of information on the app.

same position as you mate. same version running ok on 1.1.4.

probably best to post on the actual customize forums.
if you get any answers please let us know.( i will ask also )

p.s. well said Greg Switcher was great but i never installed it in case of probs running it and SB and customize together.

I downloaded 2.0 but every time i open it, it has the spicychicken.com logo and then it snapps back to the home screen. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help????
