Thread: gpSPhone crashing

  1. #1
    Default gpSPhone crashing
    iPhone 3GS
    4.2.1
    JB with GreenP0ison
    Windows 7 64 bit
    WinSCP

    Gday,
Just used the recent 4.2.1 JB that's come out, and went about trying to get gpSPhone working.
Downloaded it from xsellize repo, and also the bios.
Then downloaded a ROM pack from 4pp13 repo.

I open gpsphone and go to the first tab where all the ROM's are.
I open any ROM, and it brings up the skin of the emulator, but with a blank black screen.
5-10 seconds later, it crashes back to home screen.

Have tried moving the bios file INTO the gpsphone directory, and also modifying the file to 0777 permissions with no prevail.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,
    dluX.

edit: the following video shows the exact crash, but isn't a viable solution due to the unavailability of blackrain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0TaZ...ayer_embedded#

My purchased gpsphone also crashes after selecting a rom. Started right after untethered jailbreak with GP.

I fully intend to pay for gpSPhone once I am convinced it works on iOS 4.2.1.

However this is off topic, and as they say, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

The problem was with greepois0n rc5, they just released rc6 to fix it, get it here:

GreenPois0n RC6 for Apple TV 2G Untethered Jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 – Download Now! | Redmond Pie

I just re-jailbroke it (right over rc5) and started it up, works so far
