BiteSMS License
Is it worth buying it? I really like it, but my only question is does it stop the lag any when you buy it and get rid of the adds?

well if you don't like ads then yes buy it. i just couldnt stand the ads so i bought the license about 2 months ago, i love it though. it's probably the main reason i jailbreak my phone ;P

biteSMS is among the number of main reasons on why I wanted to jailbreak. I love every aspect of it and it fixed most, if not all, of the annoyances caused by the stock messages app. Well worth it in my opinion! Runs great on my 3GS 4.1.

Yea, I bought it and it runs great! I think the ads are what makes it lag up on the non-license version. It is the greatest thing that JB has to offer imo.

I got a question do you need to have a texting plan with your regular carrier to make this app work. Like for instance, can i go to tmobile and say i just want 500 mins and i want a data plan and no texting plan. Then just go on bitesms and buy a license and will the texting work?

So everyone that has bitesms needs to still pay for a texting plan with their carrier?

My BiteSMS trial period ended a little over a week ago and I am content to just use the ad supported version. However, several days ago it quit letting me send texts telling me I had run out of credits.
It turns out for some reason the app changed the settings so that instead of sending texts "via Mobile Carrier" the option to "Remember per Contact" was selected and it was trying to send through the biteSMS credits - which I didn't have any. Once I swapped the option back to "via Mobile Carrier" it started working again.
I discovered the solution while reading this thread, so I'm posting it here in the off chance that some random passerby on Google is looking for a solution to the same problem.
