Call of Duty: Nazi Zombies stopped working
Yes, I know that jailbreaking an iPhone can and does introduce instability, but i've been working this way for over 6 months with no problems. Recently I must have added or updated something from Cydia that has managed to conflict with something in the COD game and make it not work. Last night I restored my phone and the game does work. It works with the new levels that have recently been made available. I then proceeded with the Spirit break and the game still works. the problem happened when I restored all of my previously loaded Cydia apps. I can get through the opening video, the "credits" logos, the initial menu screens. just when I try to actually go to the game it crashes at the "Loading" screen.
Im not necessarily looking for a solution to the problem here, I was just interested in knowing if anyone else had the same problem so we might be able to figure out where the problem lies.

The only things that would interfere are Mobile Substrate plug-ins or backgrounded apps. Turn them off one by one in SB Settings until you find the conflict.

i've been making sure that there are no background apps running when I play since I first got Backgrounder. The game just needs to work alone.
I had been removing apps in reverse order to see where the problem lies.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Removing apps is not necessary and only those that plug into the springboard are candidates. Go into SB Settings... go to the More button.. Mobile Substrate Addons... start turning things off.

I'll give the Swapmode a try, but I'd still like to find the cause to let the developer know of a potential problem.
Hoo Boy! I hit a nerve. I started working my way up the Substrate Addons one by one, trying the game after each. the last one I turned off seems to be particularly sensative. My phone just goes to Apple logo, flashes to black and then repeats. I sure wish I could remember which one I just turned off. I think it was Overboard, but I'm not sure.

im a 3G. older model though as I found out when I was able to jailbreak 3.1.3 with Redsn0w. After Spirit came out, I used it. Just restored and reloaded yesterday to see if that fixed my game crash problem. what a pain to have to do it all over again so soon. I guess because of my OS issue i'm not able to actually unlock. not really an issue for me, but I guess it would be if it were somehow necessary to fix the problem.
I got in one of these loops before. Restore and Reload fixed it. Sadly, I can't do that from work because I never put itunes back on here when i got a computer upgrade.

COD was doing funky things (just randomly crashing) on my iPod Touch 2G (on 3.1.2). I figured it was a RAM or MobileSubstrate problem, so I just put my iPod into Safe Mode to play it. No biggie, and no crashes.
