    Default Question about RAM usage

I have seen people talking about how much memory their apps use while running in the background. The only thing is that I dont know where to go to find out how much RAM I am using am how much is left. I have gone through the settings but I dont see anything about the RAM usage. Is there an app in cydia for that?

SBSettings displays it. And you can set it so it's always in the status bar. Helps me out.

No none whatsoever, it's just a menu that comes down over your screen when you swipe the status bar

Thanks for all the replies, got it. Does the phone and mail take up 100 MB of ram. Those are the only processes listed and I have 159MB of free memory.

Highly doubt it at all. It would take a couple games playing at once to use that much.

Is there a way to find out what apps are running in the background and how much ram they are using. I know I have qtweeter and winterboard but I want to know how much ram they use.

SBSettings comes with a Processes toggle which tells you what's running in the background and you can quit the running application from that. There isn't really a way to tell how much RAM an app uses other than having nothing running in the background, checking the available RAM, running an app and checking the RAM again. But apps don't always use the same amount of RAM every time.
