OK I'm really hoping someone can help me here. I know that the original creator of GriP is making a new kind of notification system but I don't want to wait so I currently have the most recent version of GriP installed plus the 1.1 of SMS plugin and I'm having issues. This is what I did:

I jailbroken my phone and got it working just the way I wanted to with all my favorite jailbroken apps installed. I needed a legit notification system for texts so that I could get an idea of the texts I was getting while doing something on my phone without having to exit and go to the bitesms app to see what's up ( I hate the quick reply feature on bitesms so I disabled it ). I did some research a d thought GriP sounded like a good system to use. I installed it via Cydia then found the .deb for the SMS plugin and I installed it via mobileterminal. I have altered a **** ton of settings and I'm still not getting the results I want: it's not working. I don't get any notifications period. It's the same thing as before where nothing shows up, I just get a notification in my statusbar via notifier. I did some research and read that maybe popup blocker or iblacklist were causing the problem so I uninstalled them both via cydia and I'm still not getting any results at all and I'm getting so goddamn frustrated. I'm wondering if there are leftover files in my system because I can't even get stock notifications to popup. I have a 3gs with 3.1.2 installed and I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what I should do. The preview notifications work but the part that's actually supposed to be useful doesn't. I'm so tempted to just restore and rejailbreak my phone but I can't ******* get it figured out and I'd really rather not rejailbreak.

Please, for the love of god can anyone help me?
