Default App Org & Launch: Orbit, Pogo or Categories?

OK, so maybe this is a dumb poll...maybe not. But I am having a hard time deciding which route to go:

    1. Categories - takes two taps to launch app. One to open Cat folder, and one to tap app.
    2. Orbit - really cool! But takes 3 taps usually. Once to launch orbit, one to select SB page, and one to launch app.
    3. PogoPlank - pretty cool...am looking forward to enhancements. Also three (maybe more) taps.

Is 3 taps a pain in the "you know what"? NO. But I am still leaning towards the simplicity of Categories.

Anyone want to weigh in? Which are you using? Something else?

And no, this is NOT a forum for app bashing

Even though Orbit takes 3 taps, I think it's the fastest, cleanest way to get to the app I want.

Don't forget stacks! Two taps, but limited to 16 apps per stack with 4 stacks. 16x4=64 apps though

There's no limit to the amount of apps you can have in a Stack in the current version (except of course whatever your RAM allows!).

Hey steven, nice to see you posting @ MMi!

I must say I do really like Orbit. It seems to be the "smoothest" option. The main issue for me is that I don't know EXACTLY which page my apps are on...I am sure lots are in this boat. So if it would be possible to put a label on the Orbit multi-page that would help a LOT. Something like:

    Apps1, Apps2, Games, Tools, Misc

Basically what I do with Categories...but on Orbit. That would seal the deal for me.

I have too many "apps" to put on one SB page, so I need labels. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for the great job developing your apps btw!

    You don't need a launcher.

Delete all the useless apps you never use. Then go back and delete all the apps you never use but might use someday, maybe.

You should be down to two or three pages now.

    Problem solved.

If anything was usefull a thanks would be great!

That's simply not true. I use Categories and my apps update just fine. Spotlight works fine as well. With CategoriesSB (just released today), the folders also open instantly.

The main Categories app, which still must be used to do setup is still awkward and slow, but once you learn your way around it works fine. After the initial setup, it's fantastic if you have a lot of apps and want to stay organized.

Last time i used categories (a little while after it first came out)it would not update any apps. Glad to know that it works now i will give it another try.
