Help installing NES Emulator on the iPhone 3Gs.

I need some help installing NES Emulator & Games on my iPhone3Gs.

I am using an iPhone3Gs with software 3.0.1. I have just jailbroken the phone with redsn0w 0.8.
I installed NES (version 2.3.4) through Cydia.
I am using a PC running Windows XP and I have a wireless router.
I downloaded OpenSSH and SBSettings on my iPhone3Gs.
I downloaded WinSCP on my PC.
I used WinSCP to browse my iPhone3GS and created 2 new folders, the “ROMs” and “NES” folders.
Their location is in /private/var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES/
I noticed the Owner of the folder is listed as “root” instead of “mobile”.
I can’t seem to change the Owner.
The rights are listed as rwxr-xr-x. The Octal is 0755.
I downloaded NES games from “theoldcomputer.com”, unzipped it and placed the “gamename.nes” into the NES folder.
When I start up the NES, it will attempt to start then shut down within 2 seconds.
I have tried to reinstall the NES, Reinstall the SBSettings, Reinstall the WinSCP but it still doesn’t work.
Please help me. What am I doing wrongly?

Ok Guys i figured it out. The NES (2.3.4) was not working.

I had to download the Paid version NES 3 for it to work on the 3Gs running on 3.0.1.

There are of course other ways to get the NES 3 without paying for it.

Hey guys, i'm trying to use the snes4iphone emulator. I've successfully installed and used the gba and nes 3 emulators, so i have some experience with this stuff. whenever i try to load a rom in the snes emulator, it starts to load and then nothing happens however. Anyone have any ideas? Or is there another thread anyone can point me to? Thanks!

^You know that we don't allow rom repos on this site.

If you run a rom and nothing happens, then you are using a bad-dumped ROM.

I am about to buy the NES 3 paid version as, with my iphone 3gs jailbroken with blackra1n using 3.1.2 firmware, the 2.3.4 version of NES just opens and shuts.

Will this NES version 3 work with 3.1.2? Or is it only for 3.0?

Try setting permissions to 777. If the roms don't work, you got some bad-dumped roms.

Are the ROMs in this directory?
/var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES

If not, place them there.
