SlingPlayer crashes w/ Tricker3G or voipover3G HELP!!

I just jailbroke my 3Gs iPhone obviously running 3.0. I installed Tricker3G and immediately SlingPlayer would crash as soon as opening it no matter if Wifi was turned on or off.

Uninstalled Tricker3G and turned Wifi on and SlingPlayer worked fine.

Installed Voipover3G and make the changes to the plist file just like before. Same issue with SlingPlayer as before, crashes as soon as it start attempting to connect. Turned off Voipover3G in SBSSettings and SlingPlayer worked just fine.

ANY IDEAS ON WHAT'S GOING ON?! Please Help, this is the only reason I jailbroke in the first place.

the current mobilesubstrate is not compatible, there will be an update soon

What other issues would I be seeing though with the current mobilesubstrate not being compatible? Shouldn't I be seeing other things acting screwy with the jailbroken 3GS?

speaking of Tricker ThreeG it has been taken off the repos and it is nowhere to be found! grrr.
