Cydia Apps Confirmed Working/Not Working with 3GS JB

SSH/tunnel in & replacing the font itself.

edit: I re-JB with the RC2 edition of purplera1n & have reliable push notification, plus many more apps (Cydia/AppStore) are running without issues.

I was using my iPhone yesterday and everytime i would witch over to video and press the record button....the video application would freeze. So, I started troubleshooting and the removal of Haptic Pro made my Video Recorder begin working as normal

Anyone else had this problem?

Nobody's posted that iMobileCinema is working. Therefore, pretty much all of the video streaming apps that depend on it should be working as well.

Just tested it.

W/ Haptic pro off: no issues.
W/ Haptic pro on: freezing of picture when attempting to record video.

I turned off Haptic pro & tried to record again & had it work. Till there's a fix if you want to run it, just consider having SBsetting with the Haptic toggle.

I thought it might be helpful to create one thread where folks can list what Cydia Apps are working with the new 3GS JB. So far, here's what I've discovered or read:

Cyntact (phone won't come out of safe mode)

Below is a very short list of what I've discovered so far. I think the best advice I've heard is to wait until the dust settles before using too many Cydia apps. That said, I couldn't wait to see if Categories works, which it does!

Why would you want to use PDAnet when you can tether with out it?

1) Official 3.0 tether doesn't support WiFi as a connection method

2) The carrier files that are being installed appear to be using the APN named "internet":

a) High probability this will result in a per KB charge on your bill next month. (I'm still waiting to verify)
b) Assuming they are using the "internet" APN then they could also detect it and flag your account as they expect you to only use the APN "wap.cingular".

I could be wrong on the second point, but I don't want to personally take a chance... I know PDANet does NOT result in any usage charges and should be essentially undetectable.

I can't seem to find the right place to put this to add it to the list (if there is one), but NetaTalk works for me after jailbreaking. I crossed my fingers, installed it and re-booted the phone. The phone popped up in Finder window of my iMac as soon as it restarted.

Yes sir I have BiteSMS installed.. I just prefer iREALsms due to the fact I can call/text from the lock screen as well
