SwirlyMMS keeps failing at sending MMS messages.

yup..... idk yet man.. so far no fix, but i dont see how anyone could fix this, all we can do is complain. thats all we can do

Thats about par for the course, apple will sell you a phone but doesn't want you to be able to use it the way you want, att will sell you the service but won't let you use but part of it. Maybe if they suddenly had 100,000 irate customers returning phones and/or dropping service they'd change their minds

Not my idea but it may work for you AT&T guys. With ziphone you can fake your IMEI using the 'advanced features.' Could you use the IMEI from an MMS enabled phone and fake it on your iPhone?

So there's a chance this could work with a different SIM? Cuz I still have the SIM from my AT&T Razor.

I'm getting the same error....I had MMS working FLAWLESSLY about 4-5 days ago...Now it's just being an ***. I don't understand how can the phone KNOW to fetch, but it can't connect properly.

^^^ anyone try this? will it perm. change you imei ?? is there a way to change it back if it doens work besides just putting the real one in ziphone?

Don't quote me but I don't think it's a permanent change. I think ziphone gives you the option to change it at will. If all else fails your real IMEI is on the back of your iPhone.

he's right, if it doesnt work, you could type it back in because after all its on your phone so there is no worries

Arghhh, someone give him an old at&t phones IMEI S.T.A.T.
I would but the only other cell in my house is a Sprint HPC smartphone.

I'll be home in an hour; I have an old Sony-Ericsson at home (which was able to make calls with the iPhone SIM so I'll try its IMEI tonight and see if I can get Swirly working. The only other alternative would be a non-Iphone SIM (anyone try that?)

Okay so i called AT&T and i figured this out.

BTW everyone my SLVR AT&T SIM card DOES work with Swirly on my iPhone.

After calling them back they told me i need a new SIM card.

If you activate your SIM with iTunes you can't use it to send SMS messages!

When you activate it with iTunes it goes through apple so they can't do anything.

I'm gonna go pick up a free SIM from the Cingular place tomorrow morning...

well everyone i tried to change my imei with ziphone and when i try to click perform actions it just says no actions were preformed... so i dont know what to do to get it to work... ^^ so if i just go get a new sim from att will they activate it there or will i have to take it home and do it through itunes again???

Well if you have them activate it you need another phone with an imei that you tell them you're gonna use.

But to get MMS to work DO NOT ACTIVATE THROUGH iTUNES!

Just unlock your phone and have ATT activate your SIM.
