It's interesting, so many people still use MobileFinder. Have you guys ever tested iFile? It has all of MobileFinder's functions and more. And it's much more stable. So far it mostly works on 3.0, just some strange behaviour here and there. Anyway, you guys looking for a finder app, u should check out iFile

Yeah iFile is really good except that the E-mail file function doesn't attach the file for me. I've got attachment= for mailto: installed.

mySMS isnt working. it doesnt become a default sms client and it doesnt show sent messages or say it sent even though it does send

Prior to the jailbreak, Saurik redirected his repository to a temporary 3.x version of the repository which he plans to remerge back into the main repository. Most likely those of you with issues have one or more of these:

1) You used an early Icy without its essential updates that do not fix saurik's repo.
2) You used apt backup to restore your packages and it restored the old repository.
3) You did not accept some essential updates.
4) Some other thing that I am not aware of. But the cause is most likely failing dirname command.

This will definitely impact SBSettings more app. It will impact a lot of other apps. It is not fault of those apps and to fix it no work will be done on those apps. It is an issue with the environment.

I am compiling a list of known working, recently updated, and known not working apps on my site (you should know where that is!).

You may be able to see if you still have the old saurik repository by going into Cydia, manage, sources, then look for telesphoreo in teh list. If you see this line of text *exactly*, you have the new repository "Distribution of Unix Software for iPhoneOS 3". If you see this line: "Distribution of Unix Software for iPhoneOS" you have the *old* repository.

But wait a minute here: if I make my custom firmware with Pwnage Tool, including apps like MIM and so on, do I tap into the proper repository (3.0 compatible) or not? If I do, I guess the best way to avoid all these problems is to set up my iPhone in iTunes as 'new', and do not restore from previous backups (incidentally this used to be the highly recommended way of doing things in the old days...oh wait a minute, the old days were just a year ago...)

Can anybody confirm (BigBoss, for instance)?

I am confused. Some people are saying haptic pro works on 3.0 but when i go to it in cydia it says it isint compatible with 3.0. is this just on certain devices? i have a 3g.

Notifications in the status bar seem to work, but the configuration app won't load. It just crashes on my phone.

so far - the following do not work for me on 3.0
backgrounder, sms, fiveirows, video3G recorder, haptic pro

Out of those, I really miss hapticpro and backgrounder since I used them often and got used to them

Five Column SpringBoard is up and working on 3.0.

Also working:
iBlank
BlankNull
Stack 2.2

I've heard that Five I Rows will work as well, but it will work with Five Column SpringBoard and doesn't work with Five Icon Dock.

I haven't tested it yet.

If linksys shows up on your device it usually means that the detected wifi network was never given a name (and sometimes doesn't have a password

). It depends on the wifi router. My neighbor's wifi network popped up that way until he got it set up.
