Orb and sling player suck arse on 3g why can't I watch tv?

I just want to be able to watch tv on 3g, I would give up many other functions to have this. I tried all settings and configs. Anywhere in town 3g signal is not strong enough.

Is there anything I can do to get one of these to actually work well??

Again on wifi it works but I want it to work well on 3g also. I have tricked3g and stuff but I want the playback to be good on3g!!!!!!
